| been a while since i last wrote, here's an update...
things are actually very good now. liz and i are better friends now than we've been for the past four years. weird how things work. i thought this would be the end of me, but it's just the beginning. who knew?
jakob is fine; he just started preschool. seems to like it a lot. i am working on a novel (very naughty), and am going to start painting. i've always wanted to do that.
been listening to tons of new music, reading new books. work is going well too; editing an american history book.
still drinking tons of tea and coffee. but little diet pepsi. that stuff is evil. holla.
| oritz: sorry about your dog. no good.
jon boy: hang in there kiddo.
so young: hesse rocks! you bettah check yourself before you wreck yourself. and yes, i have heard of that "courdory" writer. i've heard that he's ok, but no hemingway.
jessica: you are weird simply because you were born on pluto. and you can fly.
angie: have tons of fun on your trip!
in other news: i too am leaving on a trip this weekend, for emerald island, north carolina. a much over-due vacation. also, this week i had the esteemed pleasure of writing about f. scott fitzgerald for a textbook. it was fab. yes i am the dork, but no i will not eat that pork!

| mister ortiz: well alright! we should all meet up; cincinnatti is only about an hour and 20 min. from me. and i'm always looking for an excuse to go there; i like it a lot. i mean, don't get me wrong, dayton is a neat little city, but it just doesn't compare.
jon braun: how big and how sweaty? don't choke.
angie: you are awesome.
jessica: you are weird.
so young: have you read anything else by herman hesse? i would recommend "narcissus and goldmund." it's one of his larger novels, but it's worth it.
lydia: what up kid?
hyperion: why ain't you a clever one!
everyone else: salmon!
